Career Services/NACElink Privacy Policy

Michigan Technological University licenses use of the "NACElink Network" from the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) and Symplicity. The NACElink Network is used by the University Career Services to manage on-campus recruiting programs and other Career Services functions. We are committed to maintaining the privacy of your information. Career Services acknowledges the confidentiality of your personally identifiable information and access to it is restricted to Career Services employees.

Personal Information

Student and alumni profile and resume data will reside on NACElink Network servers. Access to student information is governed by campus and federal policies. Your information is stored securely and is not sold to any third parties.

Information is used to provide aggregate reports for institutional analysis and state agencies. Your information may also be used for Career Services assessment purposes.

Other information, such as IP Address, browser versions, and operating system, is collected with the intention of allowing Career Services to assess site usage.

Your information is viewable to employers only if you choose to make it available either by posting in a "resume book" or by applying to available positions/interview schedules. If you add your resume to a "resume book," you agree to allow Career Services to send your resume to employers upon request.

Do not give out social security numbers, credit card numbers, or other financial or sensitive data to contacts or employers.

Job Postings

Jobs postings on the NACElink Network are not screened by NACE. Career Services does take reasonable measures to screen job postings. If you come across any inappropriate job postings or contacts/employers, please notify Career Services, career@mtu.edu.
