Register now for Career Day 2008 held on the Michigan Tech campus. Register before September 19, 2008 to be included in the Job Fair Guidebook handed out to all students.

Important Notice:
Due to a newly refurbished floor in the Gates Tennis Center, we are no longer permitted to display any type of heavy equipment (i.e. vehicles, machinery, motors, recreation equipment, etc.). Equipment may only be displayed outside the job fair venue. Outside placement of equipment will be permitted during check-in at the job fair on a first come, first served basis. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Career Services at career@mtu.edu.

Guidebook Information

This year, we are again providing a professionally printed "Job Fair Guidebook" which is distributed to over 3000 job-seeking students and is available online prior to and following the fair. The guidebook provides a brief description of each participating company, free with your registration. Prime advertising opportunities in this guidebook are also available for an additional fee. The Winter Job Fair '07 Guidebook had over 24,000 page requests during the first week it was available.

Companies advertising in the Career Day 2008 guidebook should send digital artwork to gmgoudge@mtu.edu by Friday, September 19, 2008. All pictures will be printed in black and white along with the rest of the Guidebook. TIF files are the preferred format. Adobe Acrobat PDF format is also acceptible. All files should be 300dpi. Email for questions about other digital formats.

Tuesday, October 7, 2008

• 7-9 AM -- Company check-in and display setup at the SDC.
• 7-9 AM --Continental Breakfast.
• 9 AM - 4 PM -- Job fair open to students.
• 11:30 AM - 1:30 PM -- Lunch. Note: The job fair remains open to students through the lunch period.

** Please allow 5 working days for shipping.
Next Day Express takes 2 working days to travel to pristine Houghton.

If possible, please plan to have your shipped displays arrive at Michigan Tech at least 2 days prior to the event. This will ensure that your displays are delivered to your assigned table within the SDC.

UPDATE - DHL is discontinuing its service in our area. The last pickup will take place Friday, June 27, at noon. All DHL and Airborne prepaid packages must be used by this time, or an alternate carrier such as UPS or FedEX will need to be used.

Return Shipments

Return Shipments must be properly packaged and labeled, including account number, and may be left at your company booth. UPS and Fed Ex will be notified to make scheduled pick-ups beginning on Tuesday, October 7, 2008, after 5:00 PM and on Wednesday, October 8, 2008.

Location

Career Day 2008 will be held in the Student Development Center (SDC). A shuttle will be provided to transport students from the Memorial Union Building to the job fair all day long.
