Placement Information

Methodology

University Career Services continuously collects placement data through our job offer form. Six months after a student's graduation date, we finalize their placement status.

In addition to internal record keeping, Career Services solicits self-reported information from all Michigan Tech graduates regarding their job placement and salaries offered. All November through August graduates are contacted via email, telephone calls, senior meetings, personal visits, academic departments, and Career Services website.

Placement percentages are based on people who provide a response. Placement includes jobs in field of study, graduate school, military, and those who are not entering the work force. The placement number is based on all graduates and degree types (Associate's, Bachelor's, Master's, Doctorate, MBA)

Why complete the job offer form?

The job offer form data determines the percentage of graduates who obtain jobs, where they are located, and salaries other graduates are receiving.

How do I complete the job offer form?

All students and graduates have access to Banweb. Login with your ISO username and password, go to Student Services, go to Student Records, and click on "Job Offer - Submit Job Offer Status."

Response Rate

We are able to collect data from about 50% of students that graduated.

Salary Information

The Job Offer Form also collects salary information. Identifiable information is removed and the aggregate data posted on our salary data page.
