  • 5/21/09 The Detroit Free Press (5/20, Spangler) reports, "The Navy is looking for out-of-work automobile engineers. And it's found some in metro Detroit, apparently." At a recent job fair, "recruiters from the Naval Sea Systems Command, or NAVSEA -- which engineers, builds, buys and maintains the Navy's ships, submarines and combat systems - came specifically looking for 'displaced mid-career automotive engineering professionals' who officials say have experience which could be readily transferable to the Navy's needs."

  • 8/6/08 Important Notice: Due to a newly refurbished floor in the Gates Tennis Center, we are no longer permitted to display any type of heavy equipment (i.e. vehicles, machinery, motors, recreation equipment, etc.). Equipment may only be displayed outside the job fair venue. Outside placement of equipment will be permitted during check-in at the job fair on a first come, first served basis. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the Career Center at career@mtu.edu.
