RSS News Feeds
What is RSS?
RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is an XML based feed format that is often used for Web Syndication. Feeds serve as a medium to present all kinds of content, from news to update information, often in brief summaries that link to the more detailed article.
Software called a "feed reader" can display RSS feeds and allow the user to keep track
of the updated information. Examples of feed readers include:
- Google Reader
- Mozilla Firefox (Most Operating Systems)
- Mozilla Thunderbird (Most Operating Systems)
- NetNewsWire (Mac OS X)
- SharpReader (Windows)
- Straw (Linux)
