Specific Duties: 1. House construction • Organize, schedule and supervise construction activities for all phases of construction. • Maintain quality control of projects at all times. • Maintain daily job log. • Ensure availability of proper tools and equipment at the job site. • Coordinate and schedule necessary inspections with appropriate inspectors. • Maintain supervision and security of materials, including protection from theft, vandalism and weather. 2. Volunteer supervision • Supervise and teach volunteers and partner families on site, assign specific tasks, provide necessary tools and materials, and supervise clean-up. • Ensure activities are conducted safely and in a professional manner. Time Required: 40 hours per week for summer months, time to be negotiated off season. Supervisor: Construction Supervisor Qualifications: Good working knowledge of all facets of construction, ability and patience to explain and teach techniques to skilled and unskilled workers and volunteers, field management skills and construction experience to assist in identifying costs, and time consequences of design decisions and a belief in the principals of Habitat for Humanity.
