Student Office Employee (5/4/12)
The Michigan Tech Fund desires to hire a student to work approximately 20 hours per week this summer and 10 hours per week next fall, scheduling around classes. Duties consist of bio file cleaning and preparation for scanning in an ongoing process to go paperless. Scanning, some filing and other duties as assigned will also included. Staff Position Description
Job Title: Summer Construction Crew Leader
Job Description: The Construction Crew Leader is responsible for overseeing the construction process and for carrying out the policies and procedures established by Habitat for Humanity International and Marquette County Habitat for Humanity.
Specific Duties:
1. House construction
• Organize, schedule and supervise construction activities for all phases of construction.
• Maintain quality control of projects at all times.
• Maintain daily job log.
• Ensure availability of proper tools and equipment at the job site.
• Coordinate and schedule necessary inspections with appropriate inspectors.
• Maintain supervision and security of materials, including protection from theft, vandalism and weather.
2. Volunteer supervision
• Supervise and teach volunteers and partner families on site, assign specific tasks, provide necessary tools and materials, and supervise clean-up.
• Ensure activities are conducted safely and in a professional manner.
Time Required: 40 hours per week for summer months, time to be negotiated off season.
Supervisor: Construction Supervisor
Qualifications: Good working knowledge of all facets of construction, ability and patience to explain and teach techniques to skilled and unskilled workers and volunteers, field management skills and construction experience to assist in identifying costs, and time consequences of design decisions and a belief in the principals of Habitat for Humanity.

Cabin Clean-up Inside and Out (4/25/12)
Reliable, strong, quick on their feet,in-shape persons with good attitude wanted to help open cabin for summer. Experience with detailed indoor cleaning a must & outdoor clean-up of leaves/sticks/brush. Pls respond with as much information about yourself as possible & past work exp. & references from previous employers. Experienced especially w/gas trimmer/lawnmower. $10/hour & possible compensation for gas to get to cabin.
