We are currently seeking a part-time to full-time experienced Web Developer/Programmer in the Houghton/Hancock area. You will work out of your Hancock, MI offices on a variety of Web sites and programming projects. We offer a casual work environment and flexible scheduling.

Starting wages are dependent upon demonstrated experience. We offer paid holiday, vacation and sick time. Additional benefits, including health insurance, based upon continued employment with us.



*Qualifications*

-Associates Degree in relevant field.

-2 years experience.

-At least 2 years experience programming Web sites and Web applications.

-Proficient in PHP, XHTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

-Ability to hand code Web sites using a text editor.

-Photoshop (slicing, image optimization, limited design work)

-Database implementation. (MySQL)

-Strong problem solving skills.

-Smarty, Word Press, CMSMS, Zen Cart, Flash, Flex, and Linux experience desirable.

-Ability to take direction and work independently with time sensitive deadlines.

-Strong written and verbal communication skills.

-Integrity and Character a must!

Duties will include furniture, electronics and appliance sales, delivery/pickup of merchandise and collections both in office and in field. Other duties may include keeping the store stocked and cleaned and promotional door hanging. A Michigan chauffeurs License is a must and be able to lift over 75 lbs. One position would be mornings/days and the other would be afternoon/evenings.

The Michigan Tech Fund and MTU are now hiring current MTU students to call alumni and friends. We are looking for outgoing, enthusiastic students to serve as Student ambassadors for MTU. This is a part time position, where you will be calling alumni and friends of MTU to update their address information, employer information, catching them up on new things here on campus, and most importantly asking them to support the University financially.



This job looks excellent on a resume! Employers are looking for well rounded students and this job will show your future employers that you are aggressive and have a strong will to succeed. It will also give you hands on marketing experience which all employers’ value.



You must be a second semester student or higher

You must have a cumulative GPA of 2.50 or higher.

These positions start at a minimum of $8.00 per hour plus the opportunity for bonuses.

Calling is done Monday through Thursday from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.



All employees are required to work (2) two, four hour shifts a week. However, we are VERY flexible when it comes to night exams.



All calling is done from the Citizens Bank Building which is located in Hancock. Car pooling is always an option, but not a guarantee for those students without a vehicle.
